A Happy Hour That Helps: The Georgetown Waterfront Reopening with WorkSpaces
August 01, 2011
When devastation strikes across the globe, some form of a donation normally shows our support, whether it be monetary or otherwise. When devastation hits your local community, nothing short of “action” seems to be enough.
When massive flooding submerged the entire Washington Harbor Plaza on the Georgetown Waterfront back in April, we at Workspaces knew that something had to be done in order to aid our local community.
In support of the property owners, managers, business owners, wait staff, bartenders, etc, Bonnie Flippin, our Business Development Manager, arranged and hosted a happy hour on May 26th to help spread the word that the patio had been re-opened. Over 50 people were in attendance to help us revive our Waterfront area, and the event was a huge success!
As the rebuilding of the restaurants at the Waterfront continues, we continue to support our neighbors by frequenting their patios whenever possible... Plus, you can't beat the view!
